feel like i’ve never talked about how confusing it was for me as a kid to learn there was a band called the rolling stones and a song called like a rolling stone and the two were mostly unrelated but not entirely unrelated and i always assumed one day i’d get more information about like the rolling stones’ reaction to the bob dylan song or the effect it had on culture but i never heard anything about that for the rest of my life like we were just supposed to take it as a given that this happened
